Our Partners

Mission Australia

Mission Australia

Mission Australia’s nationwide services support disadvantaged children and families, empower troubled young people, assist people with mental illness and disability, and much more. Like The Big Sister Experience, early intervention and prevention is at the heart of their work. The Big Sister Experience has partnered with Mission Australia in Tasmania to provide our online resources to teen girls who would benefit from additional support around their mental wellbeing, self-love and confidence. We are stronger together, and The Big Sister Experience is keen to work with partners such as Mission Australia who are so clearly aligned in their vision and values.

Let's Grow - Rachael Mazzaglia

Let's Grow - Rachael Mazzaglia

Psychotherapist

The Big Sister Experience works closely with Rachael, referring sisters who need further one on one support on to her services.

Rachael has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) and Certificate in Coaching & Counselling at Deakin University. From there she explored other avenues in therapy and completed a Diploma in Hypnosis as well as became a Level 2 Reiki and Access Consciousness practitioner. Becoming fascinated with the mind and understanding human behaviour, she continued to study behaviour on a subconscious level and combined all the tools she had learnt so far in order to provide a holistic approach to therapy.

Since becoming a Psychotherapist, she has worked as the Wellbeing Leader for a Melbourne Primary School as well as a Therapist at a private practice. In addition to this, she assists in providing Educational Resources and Workshops in Schools that aim to improve resiliency, anxiety, social skills and self worth for students.

Rachael is passionate about educating individuals to better understand themselves and empowering them so that they can manage their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. By educating individuals on the science of the mind and body, as well as the disempowering traits that we take on in order to survive negative experiences, she aims to help people build resilience and strengthen their awareness in the realisation that every day we get to choose the life we want to create.

Rachael works with clients on the following areas:

Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, Resiliency & Empowerment, Eating Issues, Stress Management, Gender Identity Support, Grief, Loss, or Bereavement, Relationship Difficulties, Life Transitions, Professional Development, Career Issues, Spirituality, Growth & Development, Life Coaching.
